Studio Guidelines

  • We strongly encourage preregistering for classes to hold your spot since our class capacity is reduced.
  • When you preregister for class you will receive a confirmation email containing our student health assessment.  It is important that you read this.  This information will also be at the front desk.  Upon sign in, you will be asked to acknowledge that you have read the assessment.
  • Teachers and staff are screened every day upon entrance to the studio by signing a health screening questionnaire.
  • All students, teachers and staff must wear a mask when they enter the building until they arrive on their mat.  They may take off their mask to practice and put it back on to leave the room.
  • Cleanliness has always been a priority, and continues to be, with even higher standards.  Our amazing Energy Exchange team as well as our desk and support staff will be cleaning all high touch surfaces often as well as thoroughly cleaning all common areas, change rooms, halls, practice room, entryway and lobby between every class.
  • We ask that you arrive no more than 10 – 15 minutes before class and that you leave the studio within 20 minutes following class.
  • Floor Markers in the studio lobby will direct you where to stand when arriving for class.  If there are already people waiting in these spaces, wait outside until there is space to enter. When possible we will have someone outside the studio directing the flow of students and spa clients.
  • Plexiglass has been installed at our front desk for staff and student protection.
  • We are encouraging prepayment for class or by credit/debit and only cash if necessary.
  • We ask that you wash and/or sanitize your hands upon arrival.  Hand washing stations in the change rooms and hand sanitizer is available at entry and throughout the studio.
  • Practice physical distancing.  Follow the floor markers in the lobby and maintain distance as you make your way to the practice room and change room if necessary.
  • Change rooms and showers are open but capacity is limited. Please wait your turn or better yet, show up ready for class and shower at home.  There will not be hair blow dryers available during this time.
  • Mat markers in the practice room will guide you where to lay your mat.  Line the flame sticker up with the top center of your mat.  If you have any questions about this just ask us 🙂
  • Rental mats are limited to reduce the number of items requiring cleaning and sanitizing between students.  We encourage you to bring your own mat, towel, water bottle, block and strap.  We will also have these items available for purchase.
  • We have reduced the capacity of our practice room to allow for physical distancing.  It is important that you follow the cues of the teacher so that you remain in the appropriate place on your mat.
  • Please be aware that we will be charging $10 if you reserve a spot for class and do not show.  With limited space we want all students to have the opportunity to attend.  If you have registered for a class and you are unable to make it, you must cancel online at least 2 hours before the class time.
  • Check out our schedule!  We have lots of classes to choose from but some of the evening and weekend morning class times have changed to allow for at least one hour between every class.  This gives additional time for cleaning and to allow students to leave and the following class students to arrive with less overlap.
  • You will be encouraged to go directly to the practice room and place your mat on a designated space.
  • Teachers will remain on their mat to allow for physical distancing.
  • There is a limited number of blocks available in the practice room and no straps at this time.
  • If you use a mat or block, we ask that after class you wipe them down with the disinfecting wipes located in the practice room and leave them where you practiced so our staff can clean and disinfect them again.
  • Teachers will not offer hands on adjustments.
  • During this time we will not practice Kapalabhati.
  • Teachers will encourage breathing in and out the nose.
  • There will still be lots of time for savasana at the end of class.
  • We will remind you to allow for physical distancing as you leave the room, to wipe down and leave any rental mats or blocks and to make your way out of the studio.
  • Even though we reeeeally want to hug, hang out and chat, this isn’t the time. We are so grateful to get to be with you in person.  After class, make your way out of the studio and if you want to chat you can do so outside in the fresh air.
